Wall standoffs
Your mounting kit
Standoff barrels, mounting screws, front caps and protective washers as specified on your order; fixings suited to your wall.
Tools to have ready
Level, pencil, measuring tape, screwdriver and a drill with the correct bit for your wall and fixings.
Have the wall material and fixing method checked by a qualified installer before drilling or mounting.
Drywall: use anchors rated for the sign’s weight and wall thickness, or suitable fixings into a stud. Follow the anchor instructions; a supplied anchor is not automatically suitable for every wall.
Solid wood / stud: use screws suited to the timber and sign’s weight. Follow the fixing instructions for pilot holes and required embedment. Do not use a drywall anchor in solid wood.
Brick / concrete: use masonry-rated fixings and the bit, hole size and depth specified by the fixing manufacturer. Do not substitute drywall anchors.
How the standoff parts fit together
For a typical standoff kit, the separate mounting screw fixes the barrel to the wall. The front cap passes through the factory-drilled backing hole into the barrel. Use the protective washers and exact assembly supplied with your kit.

Step 1 of 6
Unpack and check your kit
Place the sign on a clean, soft surface. Lift it by the acrylic backing, never the neon or wires. Check your mounting kit and matching power supply against your order. Keep power unplugged while mounting.
-
Step 2 of 6
Level and mark the mounting holes
Plan the cable route and check outlet reach. Use the supplied template if included, or have a helper support the backing. Level the sign and mark each factory-drilled mounting hole. Set the sign safely aside before drilling.
-
Step 3 of 6
Prepare the wall and secure the bases
Check for concealed pipes and wiring before drilling. Choose fixings rated for your wall and the sign’s weight. Follow their specified hole size and depth. For an anchor-based fixing, fit the correct anchor first. Fix each standoff barrel to the wall with its separate mounting screw.
-
Step 4 of 6
Fit the backing and protective washers
Have a helper support the sign. Align the factory-drilled holes with the standoff bases. Where your kit includes protective washers, place them on both sides of the acrylic as directed. The wall screw secures the base; the separate front cap passes through the acrylic hole into the barrel.
-
Step 5 of 6
Secure the caps and route the cable
Thread each front cap into its barrel. Tighten gently by hand, following your kit instructions; do not overtighten or flex the acrylic. Keep the sign supported until every mounting point is secure. Route the power lead without pinching or pulling it.
-
Step 6 of 6
Connect power and adjust the glow
With the outlet power unplugged, connect the sign to its supplied matching power supply. If your order includes a controller, follow its labeled input/output connections and kit instructions. Keep connectors dry and leads free of strain. Once the sign is secure, plug into a suitable outlet and switch on. Use the included remote or dimmer only if supplied for your sign.
Your setup checklist is complete.
Keep your kit instructions for future use. Switch off and unplug before moving, cleaning or adjusting your sign.
